Well, he did it. He got his BMW. He's a happy boy..:)

We talked it over and I understood where he is coming from. Yes, it's a BMW, but it's still just another used car. Payments are only $187.00 monthly (can't go wrong there!) His friend at work has a friend that works on BMW's, he has a shop at his house, so he can bring the car there when there is a problem and save repair cost. He did his research for months and he's happy with his decision. And after driving it home, so am I..:):)

I'll be glad to see his truck go, but nobody wants to buy it...:( They sound excited until they find out it has vinyl seats, no air, and no power steering. And, almost 200,000 miles on it..:( We need the money to put towards this other car, so I hope it sells soon.

So, here it is..

It has a few scratches on it, the outside, otherwise the person who owned it, took really good care of it. I hope my husband takes care of it, he usually trashes his cars, but then his cars haven't been anything to really give a hoot about so maybe he'll want to pay more attention to this one.

He also said something really sweet..He told me it's "Our car" not just his. He wants me to use it to go visiting, to work, we'll trade off. What a guy..

I went to the Dermatologist today. I have been losing hair at a rapid pace. I had tons of blood work done and all was normal, with the exception that I'm a little anemic. But, he doesn't think that's why. After looking at my scalp and my past history, he came to the conclusion that it has to do with my weight loss. He told me that because I lost 20 pounds the first month and 10 pounds a month after that, I shocked my system. I told him the hair loss accelerated once I stopped the diet and he said that's exactly what he would expect to happen. The bad news...The hair loss will most likely continue up to a year, and the hair that falls out, won't grow back.

The good news... more hair can grow, but in different areas.

Can you believe this??? I try to do a good thing and lose weight to become healthy, and look what happens..:(

Don't get the wrong idea, I'm not bald, lol, but it is something I have to worry about.

So, now, for one month, I have to use Rogaine for women, take 1500 Biotin daily and collect all hairs (only with combing, morning and night) in a plastic bag. Report back in a month, show him the hairs, he'll examine my scalp, go back and do it again for another month and see if the same amount of hairs show up in the bag.

If after six months the hair loss doesn't slow, and he doesn't see any new hairs coming in we'll go on to the next step.

Six months??

Why can't we go to the next step now?

I asked him if I should stop coloring my hair and he told me that's not making my hair fall out, so continue coloring my hair if I want.

YAY, HALLELUJAH, YIPPEE!

I have to be happy with the little things in life.

Holy schmoly shittoli, it's been a long time. Truly my intentions were to be online by now and writing more frequently than this. Sometimes life just takes some funny turns and twists.

Thanksgiving has come and gone once again. I hope those of you who celebrate this holiday had a wonderful day. My own holiday was fantastic as was the madness and fun of venturing out on Black Friday.

As for the rest of things...

Family - All seems to be right with the world there as well. Yeah, there have been ups and downs with the crew, but things are okay. My oldest daughter is getting married, my oldest son got married, Boycub had a pretty serious sprain and crack to his growth plate, but seems to be recovering well. Babycub was a mite ticked that I vetoed her becoming the youngest member of a downhill ski racing team. She will get over it. Way little family member - the baby is now crawling all over, pulling herself up, and adorable with two new teeth.

Work - It's been a really hectic year so far. I've discovered I really do love the challenge of working with the "difficult" kids that have been tossed my way via the tutoring program I am running in my school. I still teach the classes I used to teach, but now I have this added challenge. It does make me ponder those old thoughts of getting my PhD in child psychology, but that's another blog.

In the meantime, I am happily "parenting" a whole new crew of kids. I am cheering for their accomplishments, going to bat for them when I feel they are being treated unfairly, kicking ass when they are being stinkers, and crying when things go badly for them. It reinforced my belief that there are way too many idiots out there calling themselves "parents". Do they have any clue how much damage they are doing to their kids? I think not. It saddens me.

Weather - Oy is it starting to get cold! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and shiver! I am thinking of a quickie trip to someplace warm and balmy would be a good thing this month. It's what I am asking Santa to bring me this year!

I do hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!

One of these days I will really and truly be back online - really!!

Until then -

Ciao!
